The Panorama Tools, also known as The PanoTools is a free suite of programs and libraries originally written by the German physics and mathematics professor Helmut Dersch.
PanoTools provides a powerful framework for re-projecting and blending multiple source images into immersive panoramas of many types. An updated version of the PanoTools library serves as the underlying core engine for many software panorama GUI front-ends.
For more on PanoTools library, related software, and tutorials see PanoTools WIKI at wiki.panotools.org
The following is a 64bit Windows beta version of the PanoTools plugins. It is not quite complete, but contains most of the functionality of the 32 bit version.
Download PTFilters_x64.zip then Unzip and copy the file to your Photoshop' 64bit plugin folder, by default here.
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\Filters
This single file contains all the previous plugins. I have not had the time to update the plugins since early 2010.
For your convenience I have created a Microsoft Software Installer(MSI) of PanoTools library that is available on SourceForge. Currently the tools included in this MSI are limited to those that link to pano12.dll library. The Field of View limit has been increased to 1000000° from the normal 160.
I have compressed the installer using Zip compression.
PanoTools12_2007Apr25.zip [Version: MinGW
2.8.6 Size: 894KB]
If you encounter any problems with the installer or programs please send an email.
To install Panorama Tools on Windows, extract the PanoTools12 folder and all the files to a temporary location. Double click on the setup.exe file to start installation. Installation may not work properly if you try installing from within a zip application.
This package contains any files from the original panorama tools package (ver:2.6b1 date:2001/01/08) that has not changed. Plus the files that have changed that still link to the pano12.dll at run time.
The new files in this distribution includes the pano12.dll library, PTOptimizer, and the 16 bit versions of the Photoshop plug-ins.
Current known issue with the Installer:
Replacements for the remaining tools are in progress and will be available as a seperate download and install.
WinZip Replacement DLL with changes incorporated including FoV limit of 1000
To install on Windows, back up current pano12.dll file in Windows\System32 directory
by renaming it.
Extract the new pano12.dll file from the zip and place it in the Windows\System32
folder.
Version: 2.8.0 Date: 2005-11-24
pano12.dll [Version: 2.8.0 MSVS Size: 367KB] (Faster but may cause crash when used with PTStitcher)
pano12.dll [Version: 2.8.0 MinGW Size: 253KB] (slower by 25% to 50%, but stable with PTStitcher).
The PanoTools mailing list is for those who are interested in creating Panoramas
and the use of various Panorama software and hardware.
The PanoTools
Next Generation mailing list can be read on Yahoo here:

On July 10, 2006 a member of the previous list turned into the dictator many of us feared. Unfortunately he went against overwhelming majority of the community member's best interests and opinions. Among many things that day he removed all moderators from the previous list.
Soon after that Democratic members of the Panorama Tools community established the new PanoToolsNG mailing list. Please use it to discussion the technology, techniques, and materials for panorama creation.
Alternatively Nabble can be used to view and exchange messages.

Some details of the changes I and others have made. For a complete list of changes and a current copy of the source code use PanoTools on SourceForge.
